Beth is a passionate musician with a strong belief that music should be accessible to everyone. Beginning her musical journey in childhood learning to play the recorder, piano and tuba, Beth subsequently undertook a PGCE after studying Geography at Coventry Polytechnic and now uses this to teach class music, recorders and piano and run a variety of music groups at Burrowmoor Primary School. She first became involved in FMC when she encouraged her children to take up playing instruments. After seeing the benefits and enjoyment they gained from being part of a diverse
musical community Beth decided to become a helper in 2006 and was soon asked to join the staff team. She has worked with a variety of groups and now leads the Training Orchestra, Intermediate Orchestra and Recorder Consort.
Ceri believes that everyone is musical, but some have had more practice than others. Her musical life began by singing in the church choir and subsequently getting the opportunities to learn the recorder, piano, violin, clarinet and saxophone. Fortunately, Ceri was able to enjoy the camaraderie of West Glamorgan Youth Music in Swansea and was so inspired that she believes opportunities to make music with others should be available to all. Ceri studied Music in The University of Southampton and went on to a Secondary Music PGCE at the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff. Neale-Wade Community College offered her a job in 2001 and she so enjoyed living in the Fens she has been there ever since, becoming Head of Music in 2014. She first became involved in FMC in 2011 and has worked with a variety of groups, now leading the Senior Wind Ensemble, Concert Band, Swing Band and Community Orchestra.
